How to stay safe online !

  1. Talofa Zoe,

I can see you have thought about what a digital footprint is and how we can be smarter online. You made good points about what should not be shared, browsing safe and secure websites and asking an adult you trust if you are unsure.

Perhaps next time you could give some advice about what to do if your personal information does get shared online. Sometimes personal information can get into the wrong hands. What steps do you think you should take if someone does find out your password? Who should you talk to first?

This reminds me of when I am with friends or family, we like to take lots of goofy photos of ourselves pulling funny faces but we’re pretty careful about setting them to private if we decide to upload them. It is good to know how to use privacy settings, especially if you want to share private photos or information with family and friends online.

As smart digital citizens, we should always remember that nothing can really be deleted off the internet,so we need to take a lot of care with what we post. :)

    Keep working hard Zoe.

    Toe feiloa'i fo'i,

    Cia.
